Another Wednesday, another WIAW! I feel like I was just typing up last Wednesday‘s post. Here is what I eat when I have a basketball game! I try not to have any new foods on a game day – don’t want to upset the stomach!
Lately my thing has been to take my overnight oats to school. It saves about 15 minutes in the morning, and we all know that every second in bed counts! My go-to recipe is 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 banana, 1/4 cup greek yogurt, a sprinkle of chia seeds, and almond milk. Topped with bloobs and peanut butter in the morning!
The usual sandwich with pesto, mayo, turkey, tomato, and spinach. Yesterday I added some onion leftover from the black bean burgers – I’m never going back! Onions forever! Plus an apple while doing le calculus…
I had some toast when I got home from school before the hour long bus ride.
JIMMY JOHNS! Numba 12 – turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and avocado spread. Anytime I’m within a 10 mile radius of a Jimmy John’s I have to go. I saved half for lunch today…11:13 you can’t come fast enough! And a cookie… gotta end my day on a sweet note!
So those are my tried and true game day eats! They must work because we won our game by 20. Happy Hump Day!
