Hi everyone! It’s Friiiday and there’s only like two more weeks of school ♥
Quick post but I just wanted to talk about my track meet yesterday! It was regionals, so I needed to get in the top four for each race to make it to finals.
I had a quick speed workout on Monday (2 sets of 1 x 800, 1 x 400, 2 x 200) and took it super super easy on Tuesday and Wednesday. My legs were fresh and ready to go for the races!
I went to bed around 9:30 the night before and felt SO good in the morning. I always forget how great getting enough sleep feels. For breakfast I had some oatmeal freekeh bake and a green smoothie and for lunch, an apple and black bean soup mixed with rice. After the meet I had this lovely salad (along with lots more snacking) which I’m hoping to share the recipe for soon!
My 3200 relay got 4th, I got 4th in the mile, and 4th in the two mile. So I qualified for all my events!
But I’m really excited about getting a new PR in the mile: 5:32 😀
I am so thankful everyday for my ability to run because it is truly a blessing to have. Even through the pain… PC to Grandpa Camo ♥
