Before anything, I’d just like to pay a little tribute to what happened on this day 12 years ago. Although I don’t remember it at all I know that it affected our country so much.
I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday. This week is flying by for me! Here is yesterday’s eats.
Breakfast
Since school started I haven’t really had time to make anything but toast. Good thing I looove it!
Lunch
Lunches have been the same too – turkey sandwich, an apple, almonds or tomatoes, and a brownie!
It’s been a little weird having to plan my lunch the night before. In the summer I’d just eat whatever I wanted. I used to plan every single meal, sometimes two days ahead. But I suppose this is good practice to show me that just a little planning is okay!
Then I had a cross country meet. I had a banana with peanut butter before. I got second! 21:12. It was my first time wearing my spikes, and they worked wonderfully! So happy I made the purchase. I felt like puking after… I wasn’t tired but my stomach just felt off (probably because I chugged a water π ) but after awhile I was feeling better. Some pictures from the race:
Yes, I must always smile for the camera. π
Dinner
The bus stopped for dinner on the way home. At our past meets I haven’t gotten anything because it was nasty McDonald’s, but this time there was a Subway and I decided that I was going to get it! Gotta take advantage of those $5 footlongs π
I was so tired when I got home, but I had to have a zucchini brownie! I then promptly went to bed. Happy WIAW! π

Hey! I was in the US for an exchange year three years ago and your post so reminded me of that time! I ran CC as well, I think 21.12 was my best time of the season, just like yours. I remember the Long rides with the School bus to the meets and stopping at BK, McDo or Subway for dinner where people would ask me weird question like ‘Do you have squirrels in Switzerland?’ ‘Are there lakes?’. Haha good times, I miss America and Cross Country. I don’t think I will ever be in such a good shape again. LOL

That is so cool! Being an exchange student sounds like so much fun. Seriously squirrels? lol!
Congrats on the meet Leigha! Love all your meals. Pb and banana on toast and turkey sandwiches are some of my faves. Oh, and I have a slight obsession with Subway. :p

Thanks Shawn π
That is so good that you are already learning how to plan your meals π It can be hard and annoying at times, but will definitely keep you on the right track…I’m taking advantage of subway’s $5 deal too π

Look at that SMILE! Wow! First of all, you killed it in your race! Secondly, you look so happy. Those are the nicest race pictures I’ve ever seen!
