I had one of those weekends where I didn’t have to make a single dinner. Now, in the past that would’ve made me super stressed about having dinner hanging over me. Instead I chose to enjoy not having to cook!
Friday night I went out for pizza with a few girls from my basketball team. 1 large pizza and an order of cheese sticks = GONE between us 3. My favorite quote from the night with a couple pieces left…
Friend: “What do we do with the leftover pizza?”
Me: “…we eat it.”
this plate times about three π with gelato of course! Caramel sea salt and cookies and cream.
Saturday I went to a family friend’s for a fish fry. Fresh Lake Michigan perch. Mmmm. I was worried that I wouldn’t like any of the sides and leave hungry…
Nope. Pasta bake, french fries, applesauce, squash, cole slaw, and dilly beans were all there too. It was so.good!
And we can’t forget dessert! Some kind of pudding cake. The crust was to die for! Saturday night I also went to a sleepover. I ate ice cream at midnight. I haven’t done that in ages. I know it’s bad, but I’m trying to not let food get in the way of enjoying life. That ice cream was delish!
Sunday I went to my dads house for dinner – deep dish pizza. Yuck… I don’t really like homemade pizza! I knew that Lynn would have something good for me though. Right I was!
I had a chicken sandwich with avocado and tomatoes plus a delicious salad with almonds, raisins, cherries, and homemade dressing.
Then I decided to try the pizza. I picked off all the ham & pepperoni – gross. And it was amazing! Like I was pretty mad that I didn’t just have pizza. The dough was so yummy! I believe she made this recipe.
Totally unhealthy, totally don’t care.
If you see all the food from this weekend you probably see that it’s not the healthiest. But that’s okay. I eat pretty healthy during the week and when Friday-Saturday-Sunday roll around I don’t have any rules! So far it’s really working for me. Moderation is the key!
Happy WIAW!

I’m drooling over your pizza! I’m not a fan of pizza places because it’s always super greasy, but I love making my own!!

I tend to wipe off all of the grease. It’s so nasty! It’s okay once in awhile though π
Yum, you had me at pasta bake!

I’m so glad you’re finding a good balance (: That looks like a lot of delicious eats! What a weekend. I want to try that pizza! I hate thin crust pizza, but I tend to like deep dish, and homemade sounds great! (:

Hehe π yeah it came out good because I didn’t help with it! My definition of homemade pizza is bought crust with my own toppings lol π
Oh my gosh I looove pizza π It’s one of the only foods that I can eat a lot of, besides sushi of course π

Moderation truly is key!
I love your approach to eating! I feel like I’m kinda the same way. Eating pizza with your friends and talking for hours is one of the best things to do. Followed by ice cream of course π
