What a wonderful birthday. I really think that was the best birthday I’ve ever had! Let’s recap…
First things first, I went for a run! I ended up doing a 10k. All of my miles were under 10 minutes so I was pleased!
Breakfast was 2 eggs, spinach, and tomato in pitas, with a piece of pb banana toast.
Then I went cross country skiing with my friend Chad! It was honestly the most beautiful day I’ve ever been out on the trail.
I refueled with a green smoothie.
I went to church, then my whole family came over for a birthday dinner! Seriously, my whole family. Mom, dad, my step mom, brother, 3 sets of grandparents, my aunt and her kids, and my aunt and uncle with their kids. I wish I would’ve gotten a picture of everyone!
I chose to have a pasta dinner!
I could have made a meal just of this salad! Lynn (step mom) brought it. SO good!
I took this before I added a stuffed shell. Question: do you mix foods or eat them separately? I like to take a bite of pasta mixed with salad and garlic bread! I mix my sauces too.
Present time!
I honestly was not expecting to get so many gifts! I have such a thoughtful and generous family.
foodie gifts: pesto(!), salt & pepper and olive oil sprayer, cute photography placemats!
stuff for canning! I want to can tomatoes this year.
misc gifts: a facemask for those windy running days, pretty golf balls from grandpa, sock bun thing, hoops. I’m also going to an REO Speedwagon concert in March!
Cake time!
This is my favorite chocolate cake ever. Secret ingredient = mayo! It’s so moist!
There was a carrot cake too! Definitely had about 3 more plates.
By then it was super late and I was ready for bed! I had such an amazing birthday, and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family. Hopefully there will be many more!
