Happy New Year!
How perfect that the new year starts on Wednesday, aka WIAW! Here are my eats from yesterday, New Year’s Eve!
Breakfast
A nice bowl of pumpkin oatmeal started my day. Then I headed out for a run – not a good idea! It was -5 degrees out. I was so cold! Somehow I managed about 3.5 miles.
Lunch
I ate a quick lunch before heading to town to shop with my mom. Leftover mac & cheese and some carrots and hummus. Quite an orange lunch!
We stopped at Stone’s because I can never resist going there when we’re in town. I got a pecan cinnamon roll scone (yes, it was as good as it sounds) and a cup of tea! This is the first time I’ve found a tea that I liked! It had cinnamon, almond, apple, and beetroot.
Dinner
We went over to my aunt’s house for a steak dinner. I don’t like steak so I brought some more mac & cheese! Also had green beans and caesar salad.
Dessert
My mom’s secret recipe. Seriously. She said I can’t share it. I will say that it had pretzels, raspberries, cream cheese, and looots of sugar!
Party time!
I went to a New Year’s party at my friend’s house!
Obviously non-alcoholic
THIS POPCORN. It had melted rolo’s. Yes please!
I got to bed at about 1 and I was beat! Now I’m just going to enjoy the last few days of break. One of my resolutions this year is to not worry too much about food, and I think I did a pretty good job of that last night! I also didn’t restrict my food at all during the day, which is something I tend to do when I’m going to a party. Not anymore!
Once again, Happy New Year everyone!
What are your resolutions this year?
I love running in cold weather, but -5 is a bit cold for me

It’s not even the temperature that’s that bad, it’s the wind!!
All your food looks so good this week – I’m totally jealous. The scone and mac and cheese are making me swoon!!!

Sounds like a great day you had. I’m sad you can’t share the recipe on the dessert though
Happy new year!

Happy New Year Josefine! I think you would cry if you saw how unhealthy the dessert was, lol!
That popcorn looks amazing! Melted chocolate makes everything delicious though
So pumpkin is still “in” then? I’ve been meaning to make some more pumpkin recipes, but I just figured everyone would be pumpkin-ed out. lol.
Glad to hear your New Years party was fun! Happy 2014.

Is pumpkin ever not in?! lol! Happy New Year!
It looks like you had a fun NYE! I bet that popcorn was soo good! My fiance’s favorite candy is Rolos, so one time I bought a ton and put them in the glove box of my truck, and when he was in the passenger seat later that day, I asked him to get something out of the glove box and he was so surprised haha!! Sorry for the random story
