Yesterday the family got together to celebrate a few things:
- Officially selling our house (!!!)
- My cousin Laura’s birthday (20 years old!)
- Grandma and Grandpa’s anniversary (54 years!)
I was in charge of the cake! I found this vintage cake recipe by Kitchen Meets Girl and I knew it’s what I wanted to make. I changed it up only a little, using chocolate frosting and no ganache layer on the brownies.
All you need:
You just make two round white cakes and a round pan of brownies and then you stack & frost ’em!
Top with sprinkles. π
Look at that inside!
Served with some ice cream, it was the perfect birthday/anniversary/house selling dessert!

And the married couple of 54 years:
I have such a wonderful family. I’m so lucky that they all live so close and we can spend lots of time together! Happy Thursday π
