Quite a while ago (I procrastinated writing this) Lauren nominated me for the Inspiring Blogger Award! I was so honored. Lauren is a super speedy runner and an such an awesome girl! I don’t typically partake in these kinds of tags but I thought it would be a fun thing to do. I love learning random facts about other bloggers, so hopefully you’ll learn a few things about me!

Here are my facts!
1. I used to be the pickiest eater ever. Plain EVERYTHING. Now I will try just about anything, especially if there’s no meat. Yay for growing up taste buds! I was also a vegetarian for about 5 years. Meat disgusted me. I still think that, for the most part. I don’t eat plain chicken or steak or turkey at Thanksgiving. I’ll only eat meat if it’s an ingredient in a recipe. I’ve also always had a sweet tooth π in fact, everyone called me Pie when I was growing up. It’s true! Grandpa still does.
2. On my 4th birthday I asked my friends to bring a gift for the animal shelter instead of me.
3. I got a piano for my 5th birthday and have been playing ever since. I played the flute in 6th grade band, French horn in 7th-8th grade, and now I’m in percussion. I took a year of voice lessons too! I don’t like to talk about that. haha!
4. Fashionista since the beginning.
5. My obsession with cats has been going on for a long time. When I was 18 months old I was bit by a dog on the head and had to go to the ER. I was scared of dogs for years and I have a scar on my head where I don’t grow hair. That started my love for cats!
6. I am a totally self-taught cook (aside from some family help!). Even two years ago I never imagined that I’d be able to make things like homemade bread, cinnamon rolls, and pizza. None of this would be possible without starting my blog and a newfound love for food!
7. I have lived in the same town for my whole life. It’s where my family grew up and still lives. While there’s not much to do here, I love it.

Random fact: I used to despise New York City because I thought it was loud, dirty, and dangerous. That’s still true in my mind in some cases, but now I love the big apple!

I want to go back to NYC so bad! I went years ago and I was definitely too young to appreciate it. I didn’t even care about the RESTAURANTS. I mean seriously! You could eat at all the different ones for the rest of your life!

I was a CRAZY picky eater too, so I totally feel you. AND CAN I BE FRIENDS WITH 4 YEAR OLD LEIGHA. You were a better person when you were 4 than I am now at 17. Anyways, I want to hang out with that little girl making the cutest expression! I got a fake piano when I was little too, and I fell in love. AND YOUR CAT PICTURES! WHY DID YOU POST SO MUCH CUTENESS I CAN’T HANDLE ALL THIS. I’m seriously swooning. There’s no way my future post can top this AT ALL. Oh my gosh I love you so much. You are too cute! That’s so awesome that you’ve always cared so much for animals. We’re definitely alike in that respect! But I have never been musical and don’t know anything about fashionβ¦ good thing you’re here to balance out my lack of knowledge π
