Sorry for basically falling off the face of Blogland last week! I don’t really have any excuses except it was the first week back at school and I picked other things over writing a post. I have just a few things from the weekend that I want to share!
On Friday it was the big rivalry game!
We won by 11
Saturday morning I headed out for a (cold) run and listened to Episode 3 of Serial. Addicted. I made a quick breakfast to take with me because…
I took my Driver’s Test!!
I can’t get my real license until the 18th (happy b-day to meee) so until then I still have to ride the bus to school. #sophomoreprobz
I have a few tips for those of you who haven’t taken your test yet!
- They ask you questions. What would you do if a car is coming straight towards you in your lane? Hint: don’t swerve and hit a large, stationary tree.
- Be there early. I went early to practice but not early enough… I didn’t get to practice parallel parking! I still got zero wrong on the parking section of the test though so it’s all good.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions! The roads were totally snow covered so I had to ask if it was a 4-lane, 2-lane, or if there was a turn lane. I also had to ask the speed limit a few times!
- RELAX. It’s really not that bad. Just drive like you normally do, follow the rules, and you’ll be fine!
After the test Mom and I were both super hungry so we went to a new restaurant I’ve been wanting to try, Cedar Street Cafe.
Veggies, apples, mayo, and cheese all on thick 9 grain bread, YUM. I’m not even a chip person but I couldn’t stop eating the kettle chips. Although it might have been the long run hunger kicking in!
Then I celebrated with a big fat warm cream cheese frosting cinnamon roll, because life is too short to not eat the cinnamon roll.
I have SO many posts planned but I need to take the time to write them and edit the photos! Hopefully I’ll be a little more present in these coming weeks, but lately I’m starting to appreciate that I don’t need to spend all of my free time on the computer or sacrifice precious sleep to finish a post.
Talk to you guys soon!
ps… I’m doing a research paper for biology on protein intake and I would appreciate it SO much if you took the time to answer a few short questions! Click here to take it!

Wow, you got a certificate!? I didn’t! Haha Just my license
I need to have the certificate until I can get the real license I just added a survey to the bottom of the post and I would appreciate it SO much if you’d take it!!
Woo! Congrats on your test! I remember being SO nervous for both my written and driving test. They weren’t bad at all, though! And that celebratory cinnamon roll? YES PLEASE!
Thanks girly! Ohhh man, I had been craving a cinnamon roll and it TOTALLY hit the spot. Now I have an itch to make some homemade ones, haha!
well done on the driving test!! im studying for my theory on driving at the minute in Ireland you do a written exam on driving before you can actually learn to drive and do the test to get your license oh and I did your survey <3 xxx
Thanks Lucy! I took a written test when I got my permit, about 6 months ago
Just took the survey! Congrats on your license, girl! A whole new world is about to open up
Thanks, Liv! I KNOW! To actually be able to drive to go cross country skiing? Can’t wait.
Congrats on your drivers test, girl! Stupid PA doesn’t even let me get my permit until I turn 16 – only 98 days
I’ve heard of Pennsylvania being like that! Crazy. You can live vicariously through me
Yay congrats on the test! and happy early birthday!!
Thanks, beautiful!!
Okay, for some whack reason, my feedly has not been showing your blog posts, so I haven’t been seeing all your posts!! I’m so sorry, but HELLO.
Congrats on passing your drivers test! I was so nervous for mine since some of my friends had terrible experiences with their first drivers tests, but it wasn’t too bad. I guess I got lucky with my tester!
Happy birthday, girl!! You are killing it as always with your athletics and schoolwork. Have a great one!
Hate it when that happens! Well, at least it’s good now thanks girly!! Hope you’re doing fabulous!
