Wednesday
I didn’t go to track practice because I had a dentist appointment (new braces colors yo) so I had to run at night. I forgot how peaceful night running is – even when you have to do mile repeats π
1 mile warm up
3 x 1 mile repeats (6:25, 6:27, 6:25) with .25 jog in between
1.5 mile cooldown
6 miles total @ 7:23 avg
I went right to bed and slept well that night!! Mom made another good dinner before I ran that surprisingly didn’t affect my stomach!

Thursday
1.5 mile warm up + dynamic warm up
1 x 800 meters (2:56)
4 miles easy
These miles were mentally hard. The wind was CRAZY and it was snowing. I was feeling the mile repeats from yesterday as well BUT I pushed through and felt awesome when I was done.

Worked from 5-8!
Friday
The track team went on a field trip to Anytime Fitness!

We did a bunch of weight exercises and then after I did…
- 2 x 10 70# bench squat
- 2 x 10 55# bench press
- 2 x 5 70# power clean
- a couple of power clean + jerks
I’m still sore.
Saturday
7 miles @ 7:52 avg in 3 degree temps (aka back to winter). Channeling Lauren with my first icicle lashes!
Also worked from 10-8 so it’s safe to say that I don’t know if my bed has ever felt more sweet.
Weekly milage: 26
Sunday
Rest day! Much needed, at that. Started the day out with church, then pancakes, recipe creating, post writing, and work from 5-8. So I guess a rest from running but still a busy day! It’s spring break this week but I’ve still got a lot to do – track every morning, college class in the afternoon, and work a few evenings! We might take off somewhere for a night on Thursday or Friday but we’ll see. Easter is gonna be here so quick!
I want to wish a big happy birthday to Tricia!!! Love and miss you tons β₯

Amazing job on climbing the rope! I’ve never tried, but always wanted to. π Does that mean you can do pull-ups?
I’ve ran a couple of times after dinner and felt okay during the run, but always incredibly nauseous after – so I’m sticking to the morning these days! π
Leigha says
I’ve always been able to climb the rope! I cannot, however, do pull-ups π I take that back. I can do one!
I prefer morning runs more because I love feeling great the rest of the day. When I run at night I’m waiting all day to go!
Great workouts and great food! I honestly cannot even imagine how you must be dealing with all that cold! It’s been in the mid-70s to low 80s here on the coast of California ;).
Stahhhhhp π you’re just asking for me to come visit you!! I am going to San Fran this summer but I know it’s pretty far from Santa Barbara!
I’m just going to say this every time: You are so freaking fast and motivating π
Thanks girl! π
Such a cool rope climbing video! You should be proud of your strength! Also, can your mom cook me dinner?! YUM!
Thank you Allie π haha! She’s pretty nice to have around! π
