I can’t decide if I like to be this busy or not. Saturday I went from a run to lifting to seeing family to work and being home for approximately an hour. I know that I am so lucky to be able to do all of these things so I’m not going to complain that I don’t have time to sit at home and do nothing!
Here’s the run-down on running last week. (I thought that was pretty clever;)

In the rain:

3 x 800m (2:58, 2:58, 2:54) with 400 jog between
4 x 200m (37, 41, 41, 39) with 200 jog between
cooldown for 5 total

- 2 x 10 65# bench press

Meet day!
1 mile warm up
3200 relay: 2:43 (2nd)
1600: 5:52 (1st)
800: 2:43 (1st)
3200: 12:43 (1st)
I would guess 6 miles total!
Friday
1.25 mile warm up + dynamic warm up
We did .75 miles but about every quarter threw in jumping lunges, bleachers, frog squats, I don’t remember what else.
1 mile cooldown
3 total (and work from 5-8!)
Saturday
8 miles @ 8:01 avg
Started out feeling sluggish and slow but by the end I felt great. It always takes a few miles to warm up:) Mostly negatives splits and my last mile was a 7:16!
Some cooldown exercises barefoot on the BEAUTIFUL beach. My backyard. How is this real life?
Lifting:
- 2 x 10 100#(!!!) parallel squat
First time squatting 100 pounds! I know it’s not too high but since I’m so new to lifting I feel so accomplished. I can’t wait to see where I’ll be in just a few months, not to mention years from now. I can feel such a difference in my running. - 2 x 10 70# bench press
- 2 x 5 100# hex bar dead lift + shoulder shrugs
- all the other usuals
- core
- work from 5-10!
Sunday
rest
Total miles: 30
I’ve got meets on Tuesday and Friday this week. Then it’s going to be MAY. Like how? I’ve never felt time go by so fast. There are just so many things going on right now and I am so overwhelmed with how many blessings I have. I’m anxious to share everything but I’m focusing on living and enjoying them rather than making blogging them a first priority.
Talk to you guys soon!

Keep up the great work, Leigha! Never a bad thing to be busy, especially when it includes doing something you love and seeing family and friends! xo

Thanks, Beeta! I agree – nothing wrong with being crazy busy if it’s all stuff you love!
