Is it acceptable to post about the 4th of July on September 2nd? Maybe I’ll eventually catch up to real life on the blog ? anyways, here’s my 4th of July recap! It was lots of running, marching, food, family, and fireworks.
As usual I started the day with the 5 mile Firecracker run! I didn’t have a real goal in mind since I wasn’t training too seriously and didn’t know the shape I was in, but I surprised myself and ran 34:59. Not as good as last year but I was still happy ?
After running I rushed to get to the parade to march with the band. Quads are actually the heaviest instrument EVER.
And then to Aunt Jo Ann’s for lunch!
Not pictured is the sloppy joe’s, pulled pork, and dessert table π it’s one of my favorite meals of the year. I just read last year and the year before’s post and I say all the same things every year ?
Ice cream, walking around the park…
I actually had to work from 5-9, but after that everyone came over to my house for a bonfire and to watch the fireworks!
After that I ate round two of leftovers and headed to bed! It was another great fourth π
