Hello!! Here I am writing from my house in ALASKA. Iโve been here for almost three weeks now and I truly feel like I could stay forever (or maybe until the long and dark winter comes..)
If youโre wondering why Iโm here, who Iโm with, where Iโm stayingโฆIโm renting a house with about ten other girls and we work on a vegetable farm! We work 3-4 days a week doing mostly weeding and when weโre off we go adventuring. Iโll be heading home mid-July, then to Idaho for a couple weeks before heading back to college.
Our first weekend here we went camping at Snug Harbor on Kenai Lake! I donโt even know how to describe it. The water was this unbelievable color and there were mountains all around us. It rained a little the first night, but for the next couple of days we lucked out and had gorgeous weather.
During one of the days of the camping trip we drove down to Seward, a small boating town right on the ocean. We walked around on the docks, went down to the water, and went in the shops. I want to go back sometime for the fish and chips!
After staying on Kenai Lake, we drove south to Homer. We got slices of pizza first thing that were as big as our heads.
Then we spent the night right on the beach on Homer Spit, which is a road that juts out into the ocean and has lots of little shops and fishing places.
In the morning I went to this little bakery and had the BEST caramel roll with cream cheese frosting. The lady who owned it was so sweet and gave me a free cookie!
Since that trip weโve done a ton more that Iโm so excited to write about! I will do my best to have another post up soon ? I have been pretty active on my Instagram so follow that to see more recent pictures. Talk to you guys soon!
Beautiful picsโฆso excited to see it soon! Miss you!
