Hello! Iβm back after a (brief:) 2+ year break from posting, but I just wanted to put out an update for anyone still reading!
Last month, I graduated from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. I also commissioned as a second lieutenant into the United States Air Force, and I will be entering active duty this fall! π (read this post to see how I became interested in the military!)
Iβve been assigned to Los Angeles Air Force Base and will be working as a developmental engineer for the United States Space Force. I am SO excited to see what the future holds and will try to keep everyone updated as much as I am able! This is the first time in my life I wonβt be living in the U.P., and while my roots will always be here I couldnβt be more excited to pack up and head for the West Coast.
My time in college flew by and it’s unbelievable that I’m just months away from starting my career and the next chapter of my life. I’ve always dreamed of living in California and can’t believe that it’s coming true.
My plan for the blog is to share more U.P./Upper Midwest content (while Iβm still here!), and I also want to incorporate more travel and photography especially after I move. I do have quite a few posts to catch up on from the past two years, so bear with me as I sort through all of my pictures!
I am so grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey both in person and online, no matter how big or small. I hope that I can always be a source of positivity on my little corner of the internet and am thankful for all of you!
As always, please comment/message me with any ideas or things youβd like to see! I do tend to update more frequently on Instagram and Facebook, so feel free to follow there for more personal content. π I’ll be back soon!

Wow! What an accomplishment. Graduating in Electrical Engineering and joining the Air Force. You go! I read your other post about your initial experience in the military, and it’s always so inspiring and wonderful to hear about someone who has found their calling and dream, and knows what they want to do with their life. I wish you the best of luck!

I hope all is good with you. You are a beautiful lovely young lady. I just got drawn to your site because of your pasties. I am a 70 year old yooper gramma. My mother and I used to make between 30 and 40 at a time. Usually in the fall before deer season. We used homemade rendered lard and mixed some venison hamburger in with the beef hamburger. Carrots no rutabaga. Thanks for letting me go down memory lane.
