First day of high school = complete! I survived π
So this WIAW is all about what I ate on my trip! Let’s get started!
After my race we stopped at my new favorite place – Doncker’s! I went there once before while I’ve been blogging.
I ordered the “Princess Zubina” – peppered chicken, fresh mozzarella, sundried tomato, grilled onion, spinach, and pesto mayo on flatbread! And the Macaroni salad. Oh. Em. Gee. SO GOOD.
Mom got Mac&Cheese. It might be the best I’ve ever had. (Okay, one of them. I’ve had a lot of mac&cheese in this lifetime. π )
You can’t leave Doncker’s without ice cream! Mackinac Island Fudge ftw π
Hotel breakfasts: you win some, you lose some. This one wasn’t the best, but not terrible. I had some Cinnamon Toast Crunch – it’s been forever since I had that! And I had to steal some single serve peanut butters…
After shopping, I was starving. It was way past lunch and too early for dinner…hence lunner. (dinch?)
Okay… THIS is the best mac&cheese I’ve ever had. It’s official. Mac&cheese topped with broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, onions, pesto, and more cheese. I can’t even…..
Finished with a blizzard. S’mores is the best blizzard flavor, it’s true.
Since we ate at such odd times we had lots of snacks in the cooler like tomatoes, broccoli, grapes, along with granola bars and such.
Hotel breakfast the last morning was very disappointing. Good thing I brought my own bread, peanut butter, and bananas!
On the way home I planned on eating at Subway. About an hour before we were there, I saw a Jimmy John’s and it sounded delicious. So I changed my plans and ate Jimmy John’s! That’s a big deal to me, that I switched my plans and ate at a different time- I survived! They are my new favorite sub shop.
And more ice cream because who can pass an ice cream shop and not stop?
WHEW that was a lot! Happy Wednesday everyone π I’m off to a cross country meet!

Flatbread sandwiches make my tummy rumble! Also pesto Mac&cheese?!?! Ah, sounds divine. I’ve heard such good things about that Smores blizzard, but sadly we don’t have a DQ around here so I will just have to make up for it with Ben and Jerry’s π

CONGRATS ON BEING SELF HOSTED! I really need to get off my lazy bum and do something about mine, but I’m lucky enough to POST on my blog, much less self host it! All of your food looks delicious! The amount of ice cream in this post makes me have faith in humanity! Love it!
