I started junior year today! It’s crazy that I only have one “first day of school” left.. time’s going by way too fast. I’d like to do a post on a regular day in the life with more details on my schedule (if I ever get my act together..) but for now let’s keep going on updating summer adventures!
I left Michigan Tech on Friday night and was running in a 25k in Copper Harbor on Sunday (next post!!), so I stayed and explored the Keweenaw Peninsula for a few days! It was my first time anywhere above Houghton and I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to see it. SO much natural beauty. For those of you that don’t understand, Wikipedia does a pretty good job explaining the Keweenaw ?
Here are a few places we went!
Strawberry Festival in Chassel
Eagle River
Breakfast in Mohawk
Manganese Falls
Central Mining Community
Copper Harbor
So beautiful. I can’t wait to write about my race! I’ll be back soon!

Aw, I really wish I had more time left in high school! Really. It was so sad not to have that “first day of school” this year π Enjoy then rest sweetie! (I know, I hated it when people told me that but really – I just miss high school and I’ve inly been out of high school for three months π ).
Anyway – I loved to see your photos here! Glad you had a good time π

Wow, Keweenaw is absolutely beautiful! I really enjoyed all of these pictures. I think my favorite is the cat one! Or the last picture… so cool! Can’t wait to read about your race. Hope school is going well!
Thanks Allie!! I’m finally sitting down to write about it now π
