Absolutely nothing beats the smell of freshly baking bread in a warm house while snow is lightly falling to the ground. Except maybe cinnamon rolls baking.
I always thought bread only came from the supermarket. Who knew you could make it at home? I sure didn’t.
Since getting into bread baking I’ve learned so much. How warm the water should be, the different types of yeast, and the different types of flour. The Red Star Yeast website has been so helpful. They have tips for rising your bread (complete with pictures!) along with so many recipes I can’t wait to try – honey wheat bagels? pumpkin pull apart bread? yes please.
I’ve got a real treat for you today. This is their Seed and Wheat Bread and I can honestly say that both Mom and I loved it. I used blackstrap molasses as I didn’t have light molasses but I’m sure it’s great either way.
Next time you’re in the market for a good sandwich bread, don’t hesitate to try this one! I enjoyed it with some avocado and spinach alongside an apple for lunches.

Me too!!
The last time I tried to make bread, it turned out so dense I literally dropped it on the table and it didn’t indent at all π
Oh no!! Hey, it was a learning experience π
This loaf looks amazing! I’ve always wondered how you get that pretty swirl in your bread and I feel kinda dump I didn’t realize how until now π Thanks for showing me!
I didn’t realize it either until I made the recipe π thanks, love!
I haven’t ever made bread from scratch, but this looks delicious!
You should try it! You’ll never go back π
It has turned out perfect! Isn’t the homemade bread unbeatable?
Definitely. So much better than from the store!
Mmm this bread looks awesome! It’s almost pumpkin colored π
I think that’s what the dark molasses did! It doesn’t taste pumpkiny at all, but it’s still amazing π
